Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Hollyland Pyro 7?
The Hollyland Pyro 7 is a 7-inch touchscreen monitor with an integrated wireless transmitter and receiver. It can display video directly from compatible HDMI or SDI equipment, receive video from a supported Pyro transmitter, or transmit video to compatible Pyro receivers.
Can the Pyro 7 display video from a sewer inspection camera?
Yes, if the sewer inspection system provides a compatible HDMI or SDI output. The camera system’s output format should be verified before ordering.
The Pyro 7 does not connect directly to a sewer camera head unless the complete camera system converts the camera signal into a supported HDMI or SDI format.
Can the Pyro 7 be used with hydro excavation equipment?
Yes, as part of a compatible video-monitoring setup. A camera can be positioned to observe the excavation area, vacuum boom, hose reel, equipment controls, or another work zone.
The monitor and related wireless equipment must be mounted securely and protected from water, slurry, mud, impact, heat, and excessive vibration.
Is the Pyro 7 both a transmitter and a receiver?
Yes. The Pyro 7 can be switched between transmitter and receiver operation. It also functions as a standalone HDMI or SDI monitor.
Does the Pyro 7 include a camera?
No. The Pyro 7 is a wireless transceiver monitor. A compatible sewer camera, inspection system, equipment camera, or other video source must be purchased separately.
Does the Pyro 7 record video?
