Schonstedt 512 Hz Standard Sonde

The Schonstedt 512 Hz Standard Sonde is designed for locating non-metallic underground pipes, conduits, and other pathways when used with a compatible Schonstedt pipe and cable locator. Operating at 512 Hz, the sonde transmits a signal that can be detected from above ground to help operators determine its underground position.

Designed specifically for use with compatible Schonstedt REX and u-LOCATE systems, the sonde provides locating capability at depths of up to 16 feet.

Locate Non-Metallic Pipes and Conduits

Traditional utility locating methods rely on a detectable signal traveling along a conductive utility. When working with non-metallic infrastructure, a sonde provides an alternative by transmitting a detectable signal from inside the pipe or conduit.

The sonde can be moved through the underground line while a compatible locator tracks its position from above ground, helping operators identify the route or location of otherwise difficult-to-trace infrastructure.
