Schonstedt REX Pipe & Cable Locator
The Schonstedt REX Pipe & Cable Locator is a multi-frequency utility locating system designed for locating water, sewer, and gas pipes as well as electric and telecommunications cables. With three active locating frequencies, passive power detection, 512 Hz sonde capability, and a powerful 5-watt transmitter, the REX provides the flexibility needed for a wide range of underground utility locating applications.
Schonstedt specifically describes the REX as a three-frequency locator for all utilities, operating at 512 Hz, 33 kHz, and 82 kHz.
Three Frequencies for Versatile Utility Locating
The REX gives operators multiple frequency options to adapt to different locating conditions. Its receiver supports 512 Hz, 33 kHz, and 82 kHz active frequencies, along with passive 50/60 Hz power detection and 512 Hz sonde locating.
The system's transmitter provides up to 5 watts of output power at 512 Hz and 33 kHz and supports conductive, inductive, and inductive clamp operating modes.
